Afterschool programs are open to all children, including children from other schools and the homeschool community.

The winter 2025-26 session runs from December-February. Please pack a snack for students.

FAQS

General Programming, Aftercare and Athletic Information
Please contact Gordon Garrand with questions about afterschool programs, athletics or aftercare.

Please be sure to:

  • Provide your child with an additional (nut free) snack for aftercare or their program

  • Pick up from aftercare is by 5pm. Students not picked up by 5pm more than three times will no longer be able to attend aftercare or programs for the remainder of the trimester and refunds will not be given

  • Be sure that your child has weather appropriate attire available as aftercare is often held outside in most weather conditions. 

  • Pickup from aftercare and programs will generally be at the gazebo for students ages K through 8 and the Nest for Early Childhood students unless otherwise communicated. During the winter months pickup will need to be in an alternate location. Locations may vary based on programs and availability of space.

From the Health Office

All students, whether enrolled at High Meadow School or not, must be fully vaccinated to attend Afterschool Programs and Athletics. Additionally, any child participating in a physically active program (i.e.: Running Club) or an athletic program MUST have cardiac clearance before they can participate per NYS Law. Please contact nurse@highmeadowschool.org for any questions.

Payment

Please complete individual registration for each student. Families can choose to pay in full at the time of registration; a monthly payment option is also available. Only families receiving financial aid for tuition are eligible for a reduced rate. All families must be in good financial standing to register their children for any after school activities. This includes aftercare, after school classes, special programs and athletics. If you have any questions about payment, please contact Bonita Chase

Changes and Cancellations

If you decide to cancel or change enrollment after the first class meeting, you will be eligible for a full refund and no fees will be charged. Afterward, if you decide to cancel or change enrollment, refunds are prorated and there is a $50 administrative charge:

  • Withdrawals the second week are 100% refundable, less a $50 administrative fee

  • Withdrawals in the third week are 50% refundable, less a $50 administrative fee

  • Withdrawals after the 3rd week are nonrefundable

Adding on Aftercare

Families can utilize aftercare as needed. An invoice will be produced the following month reflecting charges for the month prior. Aftercare is charged at a rate of $20.00 for the first hour if the child is picked up by 4:15. If the child is picked up at 5:00pm and has attended the full afternoon of aftercare (3:15-5:00pm) the charge is $35.00 per day. If your child attends a program that ends at 4:15pm and is not picked up after the program, they are welcome to stay in aftercare until 5:00pm for an additional $15.00 each time. Please enter the campus to pick up your child. Children will not be permitted to walk out to the parking area without their adult.
