About the Course
A sustainable art experience designed to explore the relationship between creative reuse and the world around us. In this imaginative upcycling workshop, children transform discarded objects into art. Inspired by the cycles of nature, students explore the question: If nature creates without waste, how can we rethink our own relationship with materials? This learner-centered flow, deepens resourcefulness, creative problem solving, and confidence in their own ideas. All materials are thoughtfully sourced from reused and recycled items. Students are welcome to bring in broken bits, bobs, and forgotten material to incorporate into their creations.

Amanda Marlowe
Amanda Marlowe guides thoughtful art experiences that ask kids life's big questions. She develops curriculum for schools, non-profits, and hosts crafting parties for kids. Amanda holds a BSA in Philosophy and Education from Skidmore College and is currently writing a children’s book.
