Kirsten Mcallister
Early Childhood/Lower School Art Teacher
Kirsten holds degrees in History and International Development Studies, Visual Arts and Art education from Dalhousie University and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She brings a wealth of knowledge from teaching and education experiences in Canada, Switzerland, New York City and Hong Kong. Her passion lies in fostering young artists' exploration of different mediums and techniques while exploring their personal interests. As a mixed media landscape painter, she draws inspiration from hiking in the scenic Hudson Valley and her native Nova Scotia. Kirsten is excited to teach art at a progressive school in such a beautiful setting where artistic expression, open-mindedness and critical thinking are highly valued.
