Mathew Davis
Physical Education Teacher
Mathew Davis is a Physical Education teacher at High Meadow School who brings high energy, creativity, and a movement-first mindset to every class. A graduate of SUNY Cortland’s nationally recognized Physical Education program, Mat is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop lifelong fitness habits, and explore a wide variety of sports and movement experiences.
From early childhood through middle school, Mat focuses on creating a supportive, engaging environment where every student can succeed — whether they’re learning foundational motor skills, discovering a new sport, or pushing themselves during a team challenge. He believes PE should be inclusive, joyful, and accessible for all learners.
Outside the gym, Mat enjoys staying active, coaching, and spending time with his family and dogs. He’s excited to continue growing the PE program at High Meadow and helping students discover the best versions of themselves through movement.
