Jon J Muth's highly acclaimed picture books are beloved around the world and have been translated into more than ten languages. All of Muth's work has received awards and critical acclaim. Zen Shorts was named a Caldecott Honor Book and spent 41 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. The art for his first children's book, Come On, Rain!, written by Karen Hesse, won the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators in 1999. Stone Soup also won a National Parenting Book Award. The Three Questions was a Book Sense book of the Year finalist and a NCSS/CBC Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People. Muth also did the illustrations for Old Turtle and the Broken Truth, written by Douglas Wood, and I Will Hold You 'Til You Sleep, by Linda Zuckerman. Muth lives in upstate New York with his wife and four children, where he spends time "chasing the clouds from his brushes."

In recognition of her contributions to comics, Comics Alliance listed Simonson as one of twelve women cartoonists deserving of lifetime achievement recognition.
has been dedicated to Chinese studies for nearly thirty years. He received a B.A. in Chinese Studies from Bard College with a focus on Daoist traditions, including studying at Yunnan University in Kunming, China. He will share the history of Dragon Mythology in China, followed by a wonderful hands-on lesson in Chinese Calligraphy.

Dean Jones and his fantastic band, Big Sky Ensemble will be performing at Meadow Fest! This Hudson Valley favorite is a unique tuba-driven collective featuring the music of the Valley's finest musicians, that swings from South African Township to New Orleans Second Line to the Australian Outback to Indonesian Dangdut, Jamaican Mento, Turkish odd-metered tunes, and their own compositions.

Tea and cookies (imaginary of course!) are served at the Teddy Bear Picnic. Hosted by The Den Of Marbletown, this picnic is filled bears or sizes and shapes and great photo opportunities! Nan Bress of The Den will take your child’s picture at the picnic for a small donation that goes to support High Meadow.
