About the Course

To every person at all ages there’s a potential to make music. Rhythm of Life is a music program based on alternative drumming solutions.

We can make rhythmic patterns out of whatever we can find- if it’s trash cans, buckets, or our own body- as long as we can create a pattern it is music. There’s nothing more fun than to play music together with other people. This is why a drum circle is so popular, to create the beat and then feel it in your body. It’s like going on a ride and you are part of the engine.

The class will meet once a week throughout the year and will be based on beats made from traditional and alternative drums and percussion. If there is enough interest and ongoing commitment, we will work on creating a live performance.
