“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

― Mahatma Gandhi

We at HMS are aware that these times are trying for all of us people, however, it is important to remember that we are a school based on a model of community and service. This does not change during difficult times. It may need to be modified, however, and we understand the need to be flexible. Our parents will not be penalized if they are not able to fulfill the goal of 25 hours, but giving of ourselves to improve our facilities and grounds is one of the essential ways we show love for our campus, our grounds and maintenance staff, and our school. In short: volunteer hours, while not strictly enforced this year, should be considered a priority by the parents, and all reasonable efforts should be made to contribute one’s hours.

In the words of HMS parents…
“We volunteer because we want to give back to this wonderful, unique community that is nurturing and educating our daughter; encouraging her curiosity with the freedom to explore while keeping her safe… June is thriving and we are grateful.” Kate & James (parents to June, Nursery 3’s)

Thank you for everything that you each do to keep our community and our campus thriving!
