There are a couple of new exciting services on the website that I want to tell you about. The first is the Teacher Contact Page. To get to the Teacher Contact page from the homepage, roll to “Faculty”, and click on “Contact a Teacher” in the drop-down menu. There will be a sign-in box that will ask you for a username and password. Because this is confidential information, we will ask that you come in to the office or call and request the username and password. When these change, we will announce that in the newsletter and ask that you repeat the process.
Another wonderful and long-awaited service we have on this site is the Community Bulletin Board. This is also protected, but in a different way. In order to participate in the Bulletin Board, go to the homepage. Roll to “Community” and click on “Bulletin Board” in the drop-down menu. You will be greeted with a box that headlines, “Howdy, HM community!”. below which, you will click on the invitation to “apply for membership.” A sign- in box will appear next. To create your account, click on “Create One” at the bottom of that box.. A new box will appear that will ask you for your e-mail information and request your proper name. It is critical that you give your name. Once you have entered all your information, submit the form.
We will check the applications daily and your approval will trigger an e-mail notification. For the record: The Community Bulletin Board is for information exchange and inter-parental support only. This is not for personal blogging/kvetching or commercial advertisements other than parent businesses. We will be monitoring the site and purging posts that have been up for more than a month.
