Javier began his career by teaching English to students in elementary, middle school, and high school in his native country of Columbia. His college degrees are in Bilingual Education and Business Administration.  Javier has been teaching for twenty years.  He was the Spanish teacher at High Meadow School for five years until 2007.  He also taught at Kingston Catholic school for elementary and middle school for six years.  Javier founded the Spanish Language Center in 2008 where he teaches Intermediate and Advanced Spanish. His expertise is in communication and active listening.  These skills help  him to facilitate an interactive language learning environment in which students can practice the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It is his pleasure to be able to join the High Meadows community again.
